Stress Out, Break Out

It seems stress does, in fact, play a role in skin health. After experiencing the Great Hanshin Earthquake in Japan on January 17, 1995, 1,457 people with atopic eczema were studied for an exacerbation in the skin condition. In a severely damaged region, 38 percent of patients showed aggravated symptoms; in a mildly damaged area, 34 percent of patients' conditions worsened.
