Juicy Berry Smoothie


Prep time: 5 minutes

Serves 2 / Nothing beats the berry for summertime nutrition. In this kid-friendly smoothie, yogurt provides probiotics and protein, and flaxseed oil adds omega-3 fats. Prep tip: Use any mix of berries you like, including strawberries and raspberries. Frozen ones provide extra thickness.

1 cup plain or vanilla yogurt, or a mix

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

1/2 cup white grape juice or soy milk

1 tablespoon plain or vanilla whey protein powder

1 tablespoon flaxseed oil

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve.

PER SERVING: 255 cal, 39% fat cal, 11g fat, 3g sat fat, 20mg chol, 11g protein, 28g carb, 2g fiber, 75mg sodium
