Beauty products go paraben free

Seen a little label on your face cream lately that says "paraben free"? Parabens are a preservative and antimicrobial agent used in cosmetics and virtually every type of personal care product. But recent studies have found high concentrations of the chemicals in breast cancer tissues. Do parabens cause it? Researchers still aren't sure, but health-savvy companies are being proactive and removing them from their formulas. Avoid products that contain methylparaben, propylparaben, ethylparaben, or butylparaben, and look for paraben-free products in lines like Aubrey, Avalon, Burt's Bees, Dr. Hauschka, MyChelle, and Weleda.
