Aromatherapy Salt Glo for Hands

From The Oaks at Ojai, Ojai, California

1 cup grape-seed or almond oil
3 tablespoons sea salt
8-10 drops of your favorite essential oil

1. Mix grape-seed or almond oil and sea salt into a paste. Apply to hands and leave on for 5 minutes. Remove with a warm washcloth with the essential oil in it. The salt dissolves with the heat of your body and your skin absorbs the minerals.

Hands-On Smoother

From Body, Mind, and Spirit Spa, Westport, Connecticut

6 drops tangerine essential oil
4 drops lavender essential oil
2 drops tea tree essential oil
1/4 cup sea salts (fine)

1. Blend the essential oils. Mix together with sea salt (if mixture is too thick, add lukewarm water). Give yourself a minimassage on your hands, using small circular movements over joints, wrists, and knuckles. Use your thumb and forefinger between fingers, and your thumb and a circular motion over the palm of your hand. Breathe as you massage to help increase oxygen flow into your bloodstream.
