Make An Herbal Eye Pillow

For a real treat when you travel, pack an herbal eye pillow to alleviate insomnia, soothe stress, or relieve a headache.

To make your own:
1. Stitch two 8-inch by 5-inch rectangles of satin, flannel, or unbleached cotton together, leaving one end open.

2. In a small bowl, blend 1/2 cup of flaxseeds with 1/4 cup each of dried English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), peppermint (Mentha piperita), and chamomile (Matricaria recutita).

3. Add the herbal mix to the fabric bag and sew closed. When vacation activities leave you feeling restless or weary, gently place your herbal pillow over your eyes and lie back for 15 to 20 minutes for a relaxing reprieve.
